Samsung Galaxy S6 Active might get microSD card slot and removable battery

Most of the Android fans are still annoyed with tough decision the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge offers must-have features. Samsung seems to do a hard work in developing their Samsung Galaxy S6 models that will solve the biggest issues that folks seems to have with the original ones.

Though you have probably accepted the fate that both Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge come without microSD card, some people are convinced to accept fact that Samsung's new flagship handsets have insanely fast built-in storage that must overwhelm everything from their competitors and deliver high SSD-ugrade speeds. However, some loyal android participants are not still satisfied that Samsung dediced to leave out the expandable memory when producing the handsets.

Furthermore, Galaxy S6 does not have removable battery, which could be bigger problem for many Android loyal fans. However, Samsung insiders confirmed that the expecting Samsung Galaxy S6 active version will indeed come with microSD slot. This is of course such a relieve for the loyal android fans. The handset might be possibly have a removable battery.

The rugged Active model will come with similarity of the original S6. It comes with the same hardware too. However, if you expect it would be an exact replica of the S6, it will not give you what you expect. It comes to certain components, but there must be some differences. In fact, Samsung itself claims that they plan to make some prominent changes.

One of makes me disapopointed is the lower grade camera. But thanks God, there is still optical image stabilization. Some of Samsung Fans would be probably disappointed since they will remove fingerprint and heart rate sensors in the Active model.

As the rumors leaked, The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be expectingly launched this summer. However, it is still not clear about the exact date when this handset hits the store.

But I can review one response from the Samsung. It does heard what fans want. With the commencing of microSD slot support, it was indicated that Samsung wants to make its product more comparable to their competitors.

Please keep in mind that the authenticity of this news can not be confirmed yet. One Samsung Insiders leak the information about S6 Active does not mean it is true. With that said, the information is still expected to be considered regarding the Galaxy S6 Active will be coming.

So, what do you think?

THE DESIGNS:
So it seems that Samsung really comes as a stunning device this time. The company proves its word by improving the new device so that it is better than Galaxy S5. Without a doubt, the metal edging and glass panels on both front and back is the thing that is emphasized by the company. The handset is fairly thin and really appealing. It really fits on the users’ hand, and best of all, S6 looks more appealing thanks to the metal and glass. Some even say it is better in the real life than in the photos.
In the opposite, the HTC One M9 has not made significant change from the previous model. However, every inch of this handset is already stylish and smart. HTC has slightly improved the back panel and edges to be more ergonomic, so that it can fit on the users’ hand.

THE DISPLAY:
Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with 5.1 in QHD Super AMOLED touch display with 577 ppi of pixel density. In the opposite, HTC has taken orthodox route. The HTC One M9 comes with 5 inch display which has 1080p full HD resolution at 440 ppi. I know that it is a bit downgrading. But 1080p will be less battery-sapping.

THE CAMERA:
HTC One M9 has opted for 20 MP primary camera. This is of course drawing attention for major phone users. The front facing 2nd camera comes with 4 Ultrapixel setup, just like the predecessor. But this time it comes with wide-angle lens for selfies. Galaxy S6 comes with 16 MP sensor on the back and 4 MP on the front. Both provides great image quality.
On paper, HTC One M9 has better quality of camera. But Samsung Galaxy S6 has better screen display with 577 ppi which means sharper image to be experienced.

Which one is better? You will be the judge.

Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Hi, folks! Now the most awaited smartphone on earth is here and with it comes a tempting mate: Galaxy S6 Edge. After for a while under the speculation about those siblings, it is time to separate the fact from fiction.

The first thing that I’d like to talk about the differences between Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is their visual.

Let’s compare this thing:
- Galaxy S6 – 5.1in flat panel, 2560 x 1440 pixels, and a Super AMOLED display;
- Galaxy S6 Edge – 5.1in curved panel, 2560 x 1440 pixels, plus a Super AMOLED display;
See? The most significant visual is the flat for Galaxy S6 and curved for Galaxy S6 Edge. I know that everyone has personal opinion. But from purely enthusiast’s perspective, the curved Galaxy S6 Edge offers obvious advantage, it simply looks cooler. The S6 Edge is slightly thinner than the Galaxy S6 as well.

Aside from the visual’s differences, both Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have identical main screens and the upgrade of the 1080p resolution seen in the Samsung Galaxy S5. The real difference of S6 and S6 Edge comes from the brightness and contrast status that both handset brings.

Onscreen controls are gaining more attention. Samsung itself has good reason since both Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge promote upgraded fingerprint sensors. But the difference is that the users would lead to touch rather than swipe the sensors.

The other surprise that you will meet is that Samsung switches the handset to premium built materials. It can be proven by the reduction of footprints and weight of the handset.

Now for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the other factor that concerns me is the battery life of the units. Galaxy S6 comes with 2550 mAh battery while Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge comes with 2600 mAh, slightly larger. Well, this probably makes the fans of Samsung Galaxy socked since both models come with smaller capacity batteries than S5, their predecessor, which comes with 2800 mAh battery.

How about the performance? Now the thing is getting more exciting. Both Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has the same Samsung Exynos chipset with Qualcomm quad core at 2.1 GHz and GPU Mali T760. 3 GB of RAM is installed on both smartphones to provide comfort to the users who will use many apps.

For camera, both phones don’t have any significant difference. Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge – Sony 16Mp sensor, with F 1.9, optical image stabilization, a LED flash, and 4K video support. The front facing camera has 5Mp.

How about the price and visibility? Well, I’d say that this is just for a fat wallet. Look at the prices:
- Samsung Galaxy S6: 32GB = $753, 64GB = $860, 128GB =  $968;
- Samsung Galaxy S Edge: 32GB = $915, 64GB = $1023, 128GB = $1130.

S6 and S6 Edge are too expensive related to the hardware that is present in many other devices that are sold at lower prices (at 30 to 50 percents cheaper prices).

So: bye, bye Galaxy S6 (Edge), I'm waiting for Note 5!

ps: I hope Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not be a similar too expensive piece of shitt based on design (non-removable battery, no slot card, no FM radio support, and non water-resistant)...

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - Non-Sponsored Review

The commencing of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is finally official. After weeks of rumors and speculations we finally have the first look at the new Samsung Galaxy S6. You definitely heard about Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge and wonder what are the differences.

Well, both of them are basically the same in specifications. However, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has slightly larger battery, 2600 mAh, while S6 2550 mAh (non-removable battery - what?). One cool feature that I’d like to highlight is the speedy charge of the device. You can watch your favorite HD movie for 2 hours from just 10 minutes charging while are able to use the smartphone normally. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge uses Octa-Core processor which runs 4 cores at 2.1 GHz and four at 1.5 GHz, 3GB of RAM LPDDR4, 16Mp primary camera (why not 20Mp or more?), 5Mp secondary camera, no micro-SD slot (since when Samsung is following Apple?), and no FM radio support.

Looking back when Samsung announced that the new line of devices would be using new commencing processors, it is stated that the battery savings of 35% were quite possible. If the company can make it, then the downsized of the battery capacity should not be a big deal. On Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, some menus can be dragged from the side in the display.

Edge is absolutely adorable and stylish. And sadly, I can’t say that Edge is not better than S6. And it indirectly make S6 look a bit bland. When the leaks existed, insiders told about the improvement of screen like Note 4 in the S6 Edge. Now, we can notice that S6 Edge has a screen that extends over both sides.

The size of the Edge is that it is reasonably small. But this small thing has remarkable performance that should be thumbed up. The Samsung S6 Edge display have useful information as well. You can always see the financial data, weather forecast, and usual news headlines. As the name suggests, a quick swipe of the edge display will trigger the appearance of information while other part of the screen stays rest. S6 Edge is slightly lighter than S6.It is pleasure to hold the device since it does not feel heavy at all.

Samsung also improved the security as well, especially to track down the missing device. It has improved its service like “find my mobile” so that it can activate ultra-power saving mode, which will allow the phone to stay a little bit longer, and it can improve the opportunity to track down the missing device.

There is also a fingerprint scanner like the predecessor owns. However, the home button looks smaller, answering some issues that were experienced by former users of S5.

I can’t wait to hear your story. Just get a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in your hands and let me know what you think.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is here and it is very fascinating.

It comes with metal chassis, and glass covering the front and back. S6 Edge has racy green finish to the body but it comes with alternative colors such as charcoal, white, and gold. The finish is described as “jewel-like”. However, Samsung’s fans must agree that it looks classier.

The glass back and the front screen edges curve very well. The screen uses QHD Super AMOLED screen. Correct, no more 4K screen. But that was not rumored after all. Unlike the predecessors, it is lighter in weight. It feels solid and well-balanced. You can prove it by holding it in your hand.

You can see the power button is located in the center of the right side of the phone. The volume controls are high up on the left side, which means a strategic place to tap the volume via your left thumb. There are many more from the bottom edge such as headphone jack, microUSB and power boosted speaker. Insiders of Samsung stated that it is 1.5 x louder than its predecessor but I am not quite sure the reality since I’ve not tried and compared it.

The battery capacity is 2550mAh, slightly smaller than S6 Edge which has 2600mAh. But the upside is that it has wireless charging built in, compatible with optional Samsung Charger. This is compatible with generally wireless charge shared points such as McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, etc. The other thing to thumbs up is that the charging rate is speedy. You can watch your favorite HD movies for 2 hours just by charging the battery for 10 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy S6 has 32, 62, or 128GB of memory built in. That can be an issue if you want to store a lot of large files in your device. Camera lens are located on the back. The front is 5 MP, and 16 MP in the back. Well, that is definitely a significant change. Both are made for authentic camera users.

So, let’s take a look a bit at the technical specs:

Screen: 5.1in, QHD (Quad High Definition), Super AMOLED, 572pps, 1440x2560;
Processor: 64-bit Exynos, 14nm process;
RAM: 3GB LPDDR4 (it means the clock frequency of RAM is 1600 MHz and the data transfer rate is 3200 MT/s);
Storage: 32/64/128GB using UFS 2.0 tech – no microSD (a great minus);
Camera: 16MP, f1.9, Smart OIS, HDR (rear); 5MP, f1.9, HDR (front);
Battery: 2550mAh (non-removable - WTF?);
Dimensions: 143.4x70.5x6.8mm, 138g;
Colours: S6 is available in white, charcoal, gold, and blue.

Overall, it is such a remarkable smartphone but with the existence of S6 Edge, the fans can be hardly choose the best handset for them. Well, I personally choose S6 Edge over S6. How about you?
